A warm and friendly welcome awaits...

The pink marble monumental lions reclining proudly on their plinths and the red welcoming carpet at the entrance immediately let you know that Ruthin Castle is a special hotel, but special in a friendly, comfortable way rather than being grand, formal and intimidating.

The wood panelled entrance hall is warmly lit and several of the inner rooms have the added warmth of beautifully carved stone and wood fireplaces with open fires that make them cosy despite their scale

The castle has a proud, centuries-old tradition of providing hospitality and comfort including hosting numerous Royal guests. It is difficult not just to feel welcome but also to feel part of the great history of the castle and those that have come before - see our Royal Heritage page for more information about the history of Ruthin Castle.

The Guest Bedrooms

Many of the 62 bedrooms have been refurbished to a very high standard and are available as deluxe twins/doubles. An even higher standard is available in the Royal Salons (such as 'Jenny' pictured) and the Prince of Wales (pictured).

Each of these designer rooms has its own individual personality.
