Mediaeval Ruthin Banquets
Ruthin Castle provides a superb stage for hosting themed mediaeval dinners modeled upon the legendary feasts the Earl of Warwick (son of Henry VIII) held at the castle in the 16th century. Guests are recommended to start their evening of merriment with an accompanied tour of sections of the 13th century walls, dungeon, legendary whipping pit and drowning pool*.
* Please note that the tour is only available by prior arrangement and is subject to availability. An extra charge of £3.00 per person applies and a minimum of 10 people is required.
**Soft drinks, jugs of wine and ale are available.
Guests may wear everyday clothes, wear their own costume, or hire a costume from the castle by advance arrangement.
