To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend booking treatments before arriving at the castle.
Please be aware that the leisure facilites are primarily for the use of hotel residents but we do allow a very limited number of local day users to use the facilities (enquire
about membership of our Gym), we are therefore not overcrowded. It is not a
busy, bustling facility full of hardened fitness fanatics but rather a quiet,
relaxing place
(See our Bargain, Themed & Seasonal Breaks page which includes details of Pamper
Breaks and Romantic Breaks).

Described as a "hidden gem", its charm and beauty have led to it being known as the 'Glen Eagles of North Wales'.
Since it first opened in 1905 the Ruthin-Pwllglas Golf Club has enjoyed a close and special relationship with Ruthin Castle and indeed its first President was Colonel Cornwallis-West the owner of Ruthin Castle at that time. All the holes have their own special characteristics. The mature, tree-lined fairways create a splendour of colour in Spring & Autumn and rare plants such as wild mountain orchids survive in harmony with the pheasants and other wildlife. The course is 9 holes that can be played twice, with an alternate hole at the ninth to create a different eighteenth.
