For an authentic themed ceremony at Ruthin Castle, couples are invited to book a Mediaeval Banquet Wedding. The ceremony will include a sample of mediaeval customs including the quaffing of wine from pewter goblets and mead from clay cups, accompanied by a lavish mediaeval banquet served with a dagger (or knife and fork if preferred). The wedding party will be entertained with customary harp music and songs from the Ladies of the Court under the watchful eyes of the Court Steward. Guests may also partake by wearing mediaeval costumes which are available for hire.
