Bertie was the name given fondly to King Edward VII by his family. Bertie was a frequent house-guest at Ruthin Castle over many years and a lover of fine wines, whisky, champagne and gourmet cuisine.
Bertie's Restaurant brings the indulgence and excitement of the King's era to The Castle today. Enjoy a pan-European influenced menu beneath sparkling chandeliers with quiet corners for romantic dinners and spacious tables for larger groups.
Bertie’s is open daily from 7 pm – 9.30 pm, and from 1 pm - 5 pm on Sundays for our sumptuous Sunday Lunches.
NOTE: Bertie's Restaurant is closed from the 13th -17th October due to essential kitchen maintenance. During this time, a Table d'Hôte will be served in our Medieval Banqueting Hall.
