Location
RUTHIN CASTLE
Ruthin Castle is located within acres of parkland in the heart of the Medieval town of Ruthin, North Wales. Ruthin is easily accessible from North West England, just 22 miles west of Chester, 38 miles from Liverpool and 55 miles from Manchester.
The Castle is located on Castle Street, just off the main Town Square in the direction of Corwen. Look out for the stone entrance archway. If you’re lucky, a number of our resident peacocks may be out to greet you as you proceed along the driveway. Free parking is available for our guests.
FROM BIRMINGHAM & THE SOUTH (M6)
From the M6 join the M54 towards Telford. At the end of the M54 join the A5 and follow signs for North Wales & Llangollen. At Llangollen turn right into the Town Centre, crossing the river, & then left at the T-Junction.
Follow signs for Ruthin – leading across the Horseshoe Pass – go straight over the next roundabout, then turn left at the T-Junction. Stay on this road travelling through the Nant-y-Garth Pass, continuing to follow signs for Ruthin.
FROM MANCHESTER & THE EAST (M56)
From the M6 join the M56 (signposted Chester & North Wales) at Junction 20. Follow the M56 to its end and continue toward the A55 following ‘North Wales’. Exit the A55 following signs for Mold. Ruthin is then clearly signposted from Mold on the A545.
