From sieges, uprisings, princes, prisoners and ghosts, to rumour, scandal and intrigue. There is no doubt that the Castle itself and the town of Ruthin, here in glorious North Wales, boasts a rich and very colourful history
Why not find out more, by joining one of our walking tours from the Castle? We are staging two on a range of dates this Summer. ‘Medieval Castle & Grounds’, is led by by Fiona Gale from the Ruthin Castle Conservation Trust, and focuses on the history of the Castle itself. The other (Royalty & Rogues), is headed by Heather Williams from Heritage Tours North Wales, will also head off into town, exploring sites and stories. Both are entertaining, last up to 1 & 1.2 hours, and are suitable for families. Come and learn more about our fabulous Castle and town!
