AT RUTHIN CASTLE
A frequent visitor to The Castle, Lillie Langtry was a famous actress, a ‘professional beauty’, & lover of Edward, Prince of Wales. This room has an eccentric country house feel, opulent & ornate in style with a modern black four poster bed. Behind the bed is a walk-in ‘dressing room’ befitting an actress, with automatic lighting & open hanging space. The room features beautiful antique furniture, photographs of Lillie, an open fireplace & a red chandelier that represent the lust & flamboyance associated with her character. A beautifully decorated screen reminiscent of the bedroom changing screens of her time, hides a large double ‘bath-to-share’ with a separate double shower room and toilet. A large bay window overlooks the gardens & woodland.
