PATSY SUITE
AT RUTHIN CASTLE
Named after Mary Cornwallis-West or ‘Patsy’ to her close friends & family. The original oil portraits of Patsy and her husband, Colonel Cornwallis-West, the former owner of the castle, are featured in the Inner Hallway of Ruthin Castle. Patsy was a renowned, vivacious hostess who was frequently visited at the castle by her lover, Edward, Prince of Wales. This is a striking bright silver room with a stunning feature bed regally draped from a ceiling coronet to echo the form of a four poster. It also features large antique mirrors & a corner bay window with views over the Castle gardens, ancient medieval walls and the surrounding countryside. The large feature bathroom is again in silver, with a double ‘bath-to-share’, separate shower & walk-in wardrobe.
